Datapoint: Anthem Completes MMM Holdings Deal

Anthem, Inc. last week completed its purchase of InnovaCare Health’s MMM Holdings, the largest Medicare Advantage organization in Puerto Rico. MMM currently enrolls 272,367 Medicare Advantage and dual eligible members, largely in Puerto Rico, though a handful of members reside in Florida. The deal boosts Anthem’s MA enrollment by 15.2%. Anthem also acquired InnovaCare’s managed Medicaid plan, which currently serves 313,218 beneficiaries in Puerto Rico.
