Datapoint: Anthem Rebrands to Elevance Health

Anthem Inc. shareholders on May 18 approved the company’s rebranding to Elevance Health, Inc. “The Elevance Health name underscores the company’s commitment to elevating whole health and advancing health beyond healthcare and its evolution to offer products and services beyond traditional health insurance,” Anthem said in a news release. The company is currently the second-largest payer in the U.S., with 35,837,567 fully insured medical lives. The name change will officially take effect on June 28.
