Datapoint: BCBSND Selected for North Dakota Medicaid Expansion

The North Dakota Department of Human Services earlier this month selected Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota to facilitate coverage for the state’s Medicaid expansion program. The 29,606 members are being transitioned from Sanford Health Plan. North Dakota’s original Medicaid population, about 87,000 lives, receives coverage on a fee-for-service basis.
