Datapoint: Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma Plots MA Expansion

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma last week said it will expand its Medicare Advantage offerings to 30 new counties in its home state for the 2023 plan year. Benefits will include $0 premiums, increased cash allowances for dental benefits and no-cost gym memberships. The move marks a major investment in MA for the insurer, as it currently ranks No. 6 in the state’s market, with 2,672 members. UnitedHealthcare is the market leader, with 127,905 members, followed by Humana Inc. with 68,509.
