Datapoint: Cigna Expands Medicare Advantage Market to New York

Cigna Corp. in 2023 will for the first time offer Medicare Advantage plans in the state of New York, according to an Oct. 26 press release from the insurer. Its plans, which include benefits such as $0 primary care visits, meal delivery and dental allowances, will be available throughout New York City and its greater metro area. UnitedHealthcare is the current MA market leader in the state, with 402,374 members, followed by NYC-based Healthfirst with 234,560.
