Datapoint: Clover Health to Expand AI Provider Support Tool

Clover Health Investments Corp. announced on May 29 that it is expanding its clinical decision support tool, which employs artificial intelligence, to external payers and providers. Clover rebranded the tool from Clover Assistant to Counterpoint Assistant to reflect the move to offer it to providers outside of Clover’s Medicare Advantage plan. Andrew Toy, Clover’s CEO, said in a news release that “by making [Counterpoint] available to be used to manage lives that are in other Medicare Advantage plans, we are taking a significant step towards our mission of improving healthcare for all.” The insurtech currently serves 78,576 Medicare Advantage members.
