Datapoint: Elevance to Expand Wisconsin Exchange Market

Elevance Health’s Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Wisconsin last week unveiled plans to expand its 2023 ACA exchange coverage from nine to 68 of the state’s counties, partnering with regional health systems. The insurer was previously concentrated in Southeast Wisconsin. Elevance currently enrolls just 1,745 exchange lives in the state. The Common Ground Healthcare Cooperative is Wisconsin’s market leader, serving about 60,000 of the state’s 182,644 exchange members.
