Datapoint: Fallon Health Brings Drug Pricing Tool to Medicare Advantage Members

Massachusetts-based Fallon Health on Jan. 7 unveiled a new effort to bring drug pricing transparency to seniors. The insurer has partnered with Rx Savings Solutions, a software company that offers free online tools which allow members to quickly check the prices of their prescriptions and compare them with other options. In a press release, Fallon Health said it is the only insurer in Massachusetts to offer Rx Savings Solutions to the Medicare population. Fallon Health currently serves 21,435 Medicare Advantage members, including 8,900 Medicare-Medicaid dual eligibles.
