Datapoint: HealthPartners to Launch Insurance Products With Avera

Bloomington, Minn.-based nonprofit insurer HealthPartners is partnering with Avera Health System to launch new employer group insurance products in Southwest Minnesota. The Cornerstone plan will be available to large employers, and will leverage Avera’s network to improve care coordination. The companies estimate Cornerstone can provide 15% in health care savings. HealthPartners is currently the second-largest insurer in Minnesota, with 898,307 members in the state. Avera’s health insurance unit, meanwhile, enrolls 78,228 members throughout the greater Midwest.
