Datapoint: Highmark Partners With Two Delaware Health Systems on MA

Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield Delaware is partnering with two DE-based health systems, ChristianaCare and Bayhealth, to offer a Medicare Advantage product in 2022, according to a July 20 press release. “ChristianaCare and Bayhealth are prominent health care providers in the areas of care coordination and outcomes, and they have strong ties to their communities. This collaboration will help increase access to care, enhance the provider-patient experience, and make way for new solutions to improve health for all seniors,” a Highmark official said in the release. Just 93 of Highmark’s 235,382 MA members reside in Delaware, so the new offering stands to grow the insurer’s presence significantly.
