Datapoint: IEHP Preps for Medicaid Redeterminations

Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP), one of the largest regional Medicaid plans in California, is partnering with Riverside County’s Department of Public Social Services and San Bernardino County’s Transitional Assistance Department to guide its members through upcoming Medicaid redeterminations. The payer said about 300,000 Medicaid beneficiaries in its service area are at risk of losing coverage beginning July 1. The three entities are working together on data-sharing and outreach efforts. IEHP has dedicated an eligibility team to reach out to all beneficiaries who receive renewal packets by mail and assist them with the completion process either over the phone or in person at a community resource center. The insurer currently enrolls 1,607,107 Californians in its managed Medicaid plan.
