Datapoint: Lumeris’s Essence to Expand to Five New States in 2023

Essence Healthcare, the insurance unit of value-based care-focused advisory and technology company Lumeris, will expand its Medicare Advantage offerings to five new states for the 2023 plan year, according to a Nov. 1 press release. The move into Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio represents a 223% increase in geographic market coverage, per Lumeris. Essence currently operates in Illinois and Missouri, serving 63,763 MA lives.
