Datapoint: Medica Expands to Illinois With OSF Healthcare Partnershp

Nonprofit insurer Medica is partnering with Peoria, Ill.-based health system OSF HealthCare to offer Medicare Advantage plans in Illinois. “We are excited to offer Medicare Advantage plans in the Peoria-Bloomington area and serve new members,” Dave Docherty, Medica’s Illinois market leader, said in an Aug. 1 press release. Plans will be available for the 2024 plan year, pending regulatory approval. Medica currently serves 893,521 members in 12 states, with home state Minnesota as its largest market by a significant margin. 16.2% of its members are enrolled in Medicare Advantage products.
