Datapoint: Mission Health Joins Blue Cross NC’s Value-Based Care Program

Mission Health on Monday joined Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina’s Blue Premier value-based care program, making it the 11th health system to do so. The agreement goes live Jan. 1, 2022, and Mission Health will also become part of Blue Cross NC’s Medicaid network on July 1 of this year. Mission Health currently operates six hospitals in the state, serving patients in 20 counties. BlueCross NC is the largest insurer in North Carolina, serving 2,528,924 lives, or 27.9% of the insured population.
