Datapoint: Missouri Medicaid Expansion in Jeopardy

A state Senate budget committee in Missouri last week voted against funding the state’s voter-approved Medicaid expansion. If funding for expansion is not approved in the state’s budget, it’s likely that expansion advocates will sue, according to local news reports. Missouri currently serves 1,048,142 Medicaid beneficiaries, and an additional 230,000 people could become eligible via expansion.
