Datapoint: Missouri Withdraws Medicaid Expansion Plans
After its state legislature declined to allocate the funds, Missouri is withdrawing plans for its voter-approved Medicaid expansion, according to a May 13 letter from Gov. Mike Parson (R) to CMS. Several advocacy groups have already said they are preparing for legal battle. Missouri currently serves 1,048,142 Medicaid beneficiaries, and an additional 230,000 were estimated to become eligible under expansion.
