Datapoint: Molina to Acquire Cigna’s Texas Medicaid Business

Molina Healthcare last week inked a $60 million deal to acquire Cigna Corp.’s Texas Medicaid assets. The move will grow Molina’s Medicaid presence in the state by 23%, to about 260,000 lives. The deal is expected to close in the third or fourth quarter of 2021, pending regulatory approval.
