Datapoint: Oscar Plans to Double Enrollment by 2027

Oscar Health plans to more than double the startup’s Affordable Care Act exchange enrollment to 4 million members by 2027, according to a June 7 investor day presentation. Execs said they expect to enter 150 new metropolitan areas in that timeframe. The exact reach depends on whether Congress moves to maintain enhanced ACA subsidies. The company also plans to grow its individual coverage health reimbursement arrangement (ICHRA) market. Oscar served 967,002 members as of the fourth quarter of 2023, growing to about 1.5 million during the 2024 open enrollment period.
