Datapoint: Point32Health Offers In-Home Urgent Care

Massachusetts-based Point32Health, the combination of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and Tufts Health Plan, is partnering with instED LLC to deliver in-home urgent care services to select Medicare Advantage customers in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. The instED Now platform routes member requests for urgent care to a registered nurse, who can virtually assess the patient and dispatch paramedics when needed. In-home visits can also include point-of-care testing, blood draws, cultures, IV therapies, etc. “This innovative offering will provide our Medicare members with broader access to critical services, while avoiding unnecessary trips to the emergency department,” Urcel Fields, president of government markets at Point32Health, said in a statement. The insurer currently serves 123,294 MA and dual eligible members in Massachusetts and 10,165 in New Hampshire.
