Datapoint: Top Five MA Payers Enroll Nearly 70% of Market

The five largest Medicare Advantage (MA) insurers (UnitedHealthcare, Humana Inc., Aetna, Anthem, Inc. and Kaiser Permanente) enroll 68.2% of the market, according to the December update to AIS’s Directory of Health Plans. UnitedHealthcare alone enrolls more than one-quarter of all MA lives (26.8%), with 7,416,869 members.
