Datapoint: Medicaid Enrollment Up Nearly 19% From Pre-Pandemic

About 15 million people, including 6 million children, stand to lose Medicaid coverage following the expiration of the federal public health emergency, according to a new report from the Urban Institute. From March 2020 to January 2022, Medicaid enrollment spiked 19%, to 87.7 million lives, according to the latest update to AIS’s Directory of Health Plans.
