Medical Drug Lists Streamlines Medical Benefit Coverage

As an extension of Formulary Navigator, MMIT has launched Medical Drug Lists as the first-ever solution for health plans to manage medical benefit coverage in an automated workflow. Together with Navigator, MMIT’s payer solutions now cover the ever-increasing need of managing drug coverage across benefits.

With an increase in specialty drugs being approved by the FDA for targeted therapies and growing medical pharmacy drug spend, payer provider networks struggle with how to bill medical drugs. Today, this task is largely manual and resource-intensive, and often falls on pharmacy teams who need a more efficient way to manage medical drug lists.

Medical Drug Lists leverages crosswalk data from RJ Health, a division of MMIT, to manage medical drug lists. It provides an intuitive workflow application to manage medical pharmacy drugs by HCPCS code in a centralized solution to stay ahead of new products and regulatory requirements. Similar to Navigator, Medical Drug Lists doesn’t stop at simply managing how these products are covered — it enables the communication of medical coverage with links to policies for use by provider, members and internal teams. Users can manage and publish medical drug lists in a single solution, all while easily tracking when updates are made.
