What’s your role at MMIT?
I oversee our Market Research and Advisory Data Intelligence teams, as well as our Analytics and Insights services. We provide market access insights to pharmaceutical companies to help them successfully launch and promote their products in a rapidly changing environment.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of your job?
First and foremost, the most rewarding part of my job is having the opportunity to create a positive impact on clients’ business decisions. In the short time I’ve been in this role at MMIT, the services group has helped more than 100 clients identify key takeaways that are transformational for their business, which is very satisfying. My second favorite part of my job is cultivating talent. At MMIT, we believe in helping people nurture their careers over the long term. In the past two years, at least 35% of my team has transitioned into new roles, which far exceeds the industry average for internal promotions.
What do you find most interesting about market access?
The most fascinating part of market access is that there is still so much that’s unknown! The evolution of big data sets and AI will create enormous opportunities for the industry. As Norstella continues to integrate data across its companies, we’ll be able to expand the transparency and services we provide to clients.
Tell us about your background.
I have a decade of experience in market access, supporting customers in their pre-launch and post-launch strategies across oncology, non-oncology and immunology therapeutic areas. I have a master’s in bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and my research interests back then focused on neuroscience and mathematical modeling. After doing some healthcare consulting at the Wharton School, I developed a strong interest in healthcare market research.
Do you have a hidden talent?
On the weekends, I play table tennis in a competitive league. I also write, and recently published a book on the history of a Hindu temple, The Silent Mountain.
