Datapoint: CVS’s Aetna Mulls Exchange Reentry

CVS Health CEO Karen Lynch at the company’s first-quarter 2021 earnings call said the org is looking into reentering the Affordable Care Act (ACA) exchange markets for 2022. Lynch said the company’s Aetna unit, which originally pulled out of the exchanges in 2018, could enter up to eight states. Centene Corp. is currently the Obamacare market leader, serving 2,122,104 members, or 19% of the market.
